A drive or a residential street in Surbiton, Berrylands, Tolworth, Hook, Old Malden or Norbiton gives the fitter room beside the wheel. A lit spot with space on the side of the flat tyre is best.
The Bentall Centre, Kingston Hospital, the university and estates such as Wyvern, Rainbow and St George's are private sites, so the owner's permission comes first.
- The area is inside the London-wide Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ), in force since 29 August 2023: a charge for driving a vehicle that does not meet its emission standards, not for a parked car.
- If the car is in a controlled parking zone permit bay, tell us so the fitter can park legally beside it.
- We cannot stop or work on a red route; the car needs to be on a side street or private ground first.
Station, retail park and industrial estate car parks are private land. The fitter can work there only if the owner or operator allows it, so check the signs or ask first. A driveway or a quiet, well lit residential street is usually the easiest place for the work.
