Out-of-hours tyre fitting and repair,
at the same price as a weekday job.

A flat in the evening, a blowout on a Sunday, a nail in the tread found late at night. We come out evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays when the diary allows, at the same price as a weekday job, to your home, your work or a safe place off the road, and repair the tyre where the damage allows or fit a new one.

Out of hours

What does the out-of-hours service cover?

One visit covers both sides of the job: a proper repair to BS AU 159 where the puncture sits in the repairable part of the tread, or a new budget or premium tyre fitted and balanced where it does not. We come out evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays when the diary allows, at the same price as a weekday job.

  • We come to you: home, work or a car park that allows it, with no garage trip
  • Repair or replace in one visit: common sizes are often on the van; other sizes are sourced for the job
  • Same price at any hour: no extra charge for evenings, nights, weekends or bank holidays
  • Honest arrival times: the time depends on the distance from our Brent Cross base and is given on the call

Step by step

How does an out-of-hours callout work?

From the first call to driving away, this is what happens.

→

Call, WhatsApp or book

Tell us where you are, what has happened and the size printed on the tyre sidewall, for example 205/55 R16. If you cannot read it in the dark, send a photo on WhatsApp and we will work it out.

→

Price and time agreed

We check where you are, tell you whether we can come, give you the arrival time and agree the full price, which is the same at any hour, before anyone sets off.

→

The fitter arrives

The van carries a jack, a torque wrench and a puncture repair kit, and common tyre sizes are often on board. The fitter inspects the damaged tyre, explains what can be done and does it there.

Back on the road

The wheel goes back on, the nuts are torqued to the manufacturer setting and the pressures are set.

If you would rather not phone late at night, the online booking form takes a request whenever you send it, and we reply to confirm whether and when we can come. Less urgent jobs, such as a slow puncture you notice on a Saturday evening, can be booked the same way for a visit when the diary allows.

Repair or replace

Repair or a new tyre: how is it decided?

The fitter decides at the car, based on where the damage is and what the tyre has been through. Common sizes are often on the van, so a replacement can often be fitted on the same visit; where your size has to be sourced, we tell you on the call.

Puncture repair

Where a nail or screw has gone through the central three-quarters of the tread, the hole is no bigger than 6mm and the tyre has not been driven on flat, we repair it to BS AU 159. The wheel comes off, the tyre comes off the rim, the inside is inspected and a combined plug and patch is fitted from the inside. It is a permanent repair, not a temporary plug pushed in from the outside, and the wheel is rebalanced before it goes back on.

Puncture repair

A new tyre fitted

If the damage is in the sidewall or shoulder, the tyre has been run flat, or the tread is already at or near the legal limit, a safe repair is not possible and we say so. Common sizes in budget and premium brands are often on the van; other sizes are sourced for the job, and we tell you the timing on the call rather than guess.

Mobile tyre fitting

Burst or shredded tyre

A blowout usually destroys the tyre and sometimes marks the wheel. We fit a new tyre and check the rim for damage before it goes back on. If the wheel itself is bent or cracked we tell you before fitting, because a new tyre on a damaged rim will not hold air.

Burst tyre replacement

What we check before we leave

  • Tread depth on the damaged tyre and its partner across the axle. The legal minimum is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters, and we tell you if either is close.
  • Wheel nut torque on the wheel we removed, set with a torque wrench rather than an impact gun.
  • Pressure on the tyre we worked on, set to the figure in your door shut or handbook.
Where we work

Where can we meet you at night?

Anywhere a van can pull up safely: your driveway, a work car park, a supermarket car park that allows it, a side street or a lay-by well away from moving traffic. A driveway or a residential street is the easiest kind of job.

If you are on a motorway or a dual carriageway the rules are different. Nobody can fit or repair a tyre on a hard shoulder or in an emergency area, because those are for getting you out of a live lane, not for waiting for a fitter. Follow the Highway Code: if it is safe, get everyone out on the passenger side and behind the barrier (if not, stay belted in with hazards on), call National Highways or 999 if you are in danger, and arrange recovery to the nearest services, junction or place of safety. Once you are off the motorway and somewhere safe, call us and we can come to you there.

For a car park or a private road, tell us the level, the entrance and whether a barrier or a key code is involved, so the fitter is not stuck outside. For a residential street, a house number and which side the flat tyre is on is enough.

Pricing

How does out-of-hours pricing work?

There are no surprises at the car, and the enquiry itself costs nothing.

  • Free enquiry. Call, WhatsApp or book online and we agree the price before any work.
  • The visit is part of the price. The figure we agree covers travel, the work itself and, for a new tyre, balancing.
  • Same price out of hours. Evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays are charged the same as a weekday job, so what you hear on the call is what you pay.
  • Tyre price. A new tyre depends on size and whether you choose budget or premium. We offer both when we quote and explain the difference if you are unsure.

We do not publish a price list, because the job depends on the tyre and on where the car is. Tell us where you are and what has happened and you will have a firm figure before we set off. How we price a mobile tyre fitting explains what decides it.

Be ready

What should I have ready when I call?

  • Your exact location: a postcode, a street name or a what3words address, plus which car park level or which side of the road.
  • The tyre size from the sidewall, or a photo of it sent on WhatsApp.
  • Locking wheel nuts: whether the car has them and where the key is. If the key is lost or damaged we can remove the nut on the same visit.
  • What happened: a slow loss of pressure, a sudden bang, a kerb strike or a pothole. It helps us decide whether a repair is likely or a specific tyre is needed.
  • Room to work: somewhere the van can park next to the car with space on the affected side.
Why not wait?

Why not wait for a garage to open?

Driving to a garage on a flat or badly damaged tyre can wreck a tyre that could have been repaired, and it can damage the wheel. It is also a legal risk. A tyre with a cut into the casing, a bulge or exposed cords is illegal to use, and GOV.UK's tyre rules carry a fine of up to £2,500 and three penalty points for each tyre.

Afterwards

What should I do after a night callout?

Five small jobs in the days after make sure the fix stays fixed.

  • Recheck the wheel nuts after the first 30 to 50 miles. Nuts can settle slightly after a wheel has been off. A quick check with a torque wrench, or at a garage, confirms they are still tight.
  • Check the pressure after a few days. A repaired tyre that is losing air again needs looking at. A new tyre should hold steady.
  • Reset the tyre pressure warning if it stays on. Some cars relearn on their own after a few miles; others need a reset through the menu.
  • Keep the invoice. If a pothole caused the damage, the paperwork supports a claim against the highway authority.
  • Sort the spare. If you used a space saver, stow it and check its pressure so it is ready next time.

If one tyre was replaced and the other on the same axle is close to the limit, book that one in daylight at a time that suits you. Two matched tyres on an axle brake and steer more predictably than one new and one worn.

FAQs

Out-of-hours tyre help, answered.

Standards we work to: puncture repairs follow BS AU 159, the British Standard for tyre repairs (explained by TyreSafe); the legal minimum tread depth is 1.6mm across the central three-quarters (GOV.UK); motorway breakdown advice follows the Highway Code, rules 274 to 287.

Do you come out at night and at weekends?
Yes, when the diary allows. We come out evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays when the diary allows, at the same price as a weekday job. We cannot promise a van is free whenever you need one, so we tell you on the call whether we can come and give you the arrival time then; it depends on how far you are from our base at Brent Cross, NW2. Common sizes are often on the van; other sizes are sourced for the job.
Is there an extra charge at night or at the weekend?
No. Evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays cost the same as a weekday job, with nothing added on top. You hear the full price on the call before we set off.
Do you work on Sundays and bank holidays?
Yes, when the diary allows, at the same price as a weekday job. Call or book online and we tell you whether we can come and when.
Can you repair my tyre where the car is, or do I need a new one?
If the puncture sits in the central three-quarters of the tread, is no larger than 6mm and the tyre has not been driven on while flat, we repair it to BS AU 159 at the car. If the damage is in the sidewall or shoulder, the tyre has been run flat, or the tread is at the legal limit, a safe repair is not possible and we fit a replacement, budget or premium, in your size.
Do you fit new tyres at night or just patch the flat?
Both, depending on the damage. Where a new tyre is needed we fit a brand-new one, mounted and balanced at the car, rather than a temporary fix. Common sizes are often on the van; for other sizes we tell you on the call what we can bring and when.
How long will it take you to reach me?
It depends on how far you are from our Brent Cross base and what is already in the diary, and out of hours on whether a van is free at all. We give you the arrival time on the call rather than promise a figure. If we cannot come, we say so on the call so you can make other arrangements.
Do I have to bring the car anywhere?
No. We come to you. Whether you are at home, at work or stopped somewhere safe off the road, the fitter drives out with the kit and sorts the tyre there. There is no garage to reach, unless you are on a motorway, where the car must first be moved to a place of safety.
How do I book out-of-hours tyre help?
Call 07473 720871, message us on WhatsApp or book online. Tell us where you are and the tyre size, and we agree the price and give you the arrival time before we set off.
Where we work

Where can we come to you?

We work from one base at Brent Cross, London NW2, and the van comes to you. The areas we cover run from the streets around the base out to towns in the West Midlands, about 100 miles away in a straight line.

How long it takes to reach you depends on that distance and on the jobs already in the diary, so we give you the arrival time on the call rather than promise one. If we cannot take the job, we say so on the call. A long way from London, if the car is unsafe where it is, your breakdown cover may reach you sooner.
