ULEZ and a car with a flat tyre
Every London borough has been inside the London-wide Ultra Low Emission Zone since 29 August 2023. The daily charge is for driving a vehicle that does not meet the standard, not for a car that is parked. Having the tyre fitted where the car stands means it does not need to be driven anywhere for the work.
Where the car needs to be
We cannot stop or work on a red route, so if the car is on one it needs to be moved to a side street or private ground first, and only if it is safe to drive that far. If the car is in a permit bay or a controlled parking zone, tell us when you call so the fitter can park legally beside it.
In a private car park, such as at a supermarket, a block of flats or your workplace, we need the owner's or manager's permission to work there. A flat, firm surface with room around the wheel is all we need.
