Privacy Policy.
What personal information we collect when you contact us or book a job, why we need it, who we share it with and the choices you have.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This privacy policy explains how Rescue Tyres LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, contact us or ask us to carry out work. We handle personal information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal information we collect through our website at rescuetyres.co.uk, by phone, text message, WhatsApp, email and social media messages, and when we carry out work on your vehicle.
2. The information we collect
Our website quote form
The quick quote form on our home page asks for:
- your name;
- your phone number; and
- what you need, which often includes where the vehicle is, the vehicle and the tyre size.
Our website booking form
The booking request form on our booking page asks for:
- your name;
- your email address;
- your phone number; and
- a message, which often includes where the vehicle is, the vehicle and the tyre size.
When you send either form, your browser also sends technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to the form service we use (see section 4). Both forms contain a hidden anti-spam field, which does not collect any information about you.
Phone calls and text messages
Your phone number, your name and anything you tell us, such as where the vehicle is, the vehicle make, model or registration and the tyre size.
Your phone number, the profile name and picture WhatsApp shows us, your messages and voice notes, and any photos or location pins you choose to send, for example a photo of the tyre damage or the tyre size on the sidewall.
Email and social media messages
Your email address or social media profile name, and the content of your messages and any attachments.
When we carry out work
Where the vehicle is, the vehicle details, the tyre details, the work we carried out, the price and a record of payment. Card payments are handled by the card payment provider we use.
When you visit our website
Our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver the website and keep it secure, such as your IP address, the approximate location derived from it, your browser and device type and the pages you request. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our hosting provider, to count page visits and clicks on our phone, WhatsApp and booking links, so we can see which pages help people reach us. It does not use cookies, and it does not receive your name, your phone number or anything you type into our forms. According to Vercel, visits are counted using a short-lived anonymous identifier that is discarded after 24 hours, and the results we see are totals, not information about individual people. Some pages include an embedded Google Map. When a map loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may read or set cookies. Our cookie policy explains this.
Sensitive information
We do not ask for sensitive information such as details of your health. If you choose to tell us about a health condition or vulnerability so that we can help keep you safe, we use it only for that purpose, with your explicit consent or where it is needed to protect someone's vital interests.
3. How we use your information and the lawful bases for it
We only use your personal information where UK GDPR gives us a lawful basis to do so.
| What we use it for | Information used | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry, giving you a quote and arranging a callout | Contact details, enquiry details, vehicle location, vehicle and tyre details | Taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. | Taking payment and keeping accounting and tax records | Name, work carried out, price, payment record | Performance of our contract; compliance with our legal obligations under company and tax law |
| Keeping a record of the work, including safety decisions such as why a tyre could not be repaired, and dealing with warranty questions | Job details, messages, photos you send | Our legitimate interests in showing that work was carried out safely and in dealing with questions about it |
| Handling complaints and legal claims | Complaint details, job details, messages | Our legitimate interests in resolving complaints and establishing or defending legal claims; compliance with legal obligations where they apply |
| Running a secure website and stopping spam form submissions | Technical information such as IP address and browser details | Our legitimate interests in operating a secure and working website |
| Counting website visits and clicks on our phone, WhatsApp and booking links | Technical information such as IP address, browser and device type and the pages visited, turned into anonymous totals | Our legitimate interests in understanding which pages help people contact us |
| Responding to lawful requests from the police, courts or other authorities | Information relevant to the request | Compliance with a legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interests are outweighed by your rights, and you can object at any time (see section 7).
We do not send marketing messages. If we ever want to, we will only do so where the law allows, including asking for your consent where the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations require it. We do not make decisions about you using solely automated processing.
4. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only where needed with:
- Web3Forms, the service that receives the forms on our website and forwards them to our email inbox. Web3Forms states that it does not store form submissions, that its servers are in the United States and that it deletes server logs periodically. It is run by Web3Creative, a business based in India.
- Microsoft, which provides our Outlook.com email service, where your emails and our website form submissions are received and stored.
- Vercel Inc., based in the United States, which hosts our website and provides the website analytics described in section 2.
- Google, when a Google Map embedded on our website loads in your browser. Google uses this information under its own privacy policy.
- WhatsApp and Meta, if you contact us on WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. These services are responsible for how they handle your information under their own privacy policies.
- Our mobile phone network provider, which carries our calls and text messages.
- Our card payment provider, [card payment provider name to be confirmed], when you pay by card.
- Tyre suppliers, only where needed to source the right tyre for you. We normally only need to share the tyre size and vehicle details, not your contact details.
- Our accountant, bank, insurers and professional advisers, where needed to run our business, deal with a claim or take advice.
- HMRC, the police, courts and other authorities, where the law requires it.
- A buyer or successor, if our business or its assets are sold or reorganised, in which case your information would continue to be protected in line with this policy.
5. International transfers
Some of the providers listed above store or process information outside the UK. Vercel is based in the United States, Web3Forms' servers are in the United States and it is run from India, and Microsoft, Google and Meta may process information in other countries.
Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations (including the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for US organisations certified under it) or on other safeguards recognised by UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us if you would like more information about these safeguards.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it. Our policy is:
- Enquiries that do not lead to work (form submissions, emails, messages and call logs): up to 12 months from our last contact with you.
- Job and payment records: six years from the end of the financial year they relate to, to meet our tax and accounting obligations. Messages and photos relating to a job are kept with the job record.
- Complaints and claims: six years from the date the matter is closed.
- Website technical information: held by our hosting provider and form service for the limited periods set out in their own policies.
We may keep information for longer if we need it to establish, bring or defend a legal claim. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- rectification, to have inaccurate information corrected or incomplete information completed;
- erasure, to have your information deleted in certain circumstances;
- restriction, to ask us to limit how we use your information in certain circumstances;
- object to our use of your information where we rely on legitimate interests;
- data portability, to receive information you gave us in a portable format, where we use it under a contract or with your consent and by automated means; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 12. There is usually no charge. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request. We will respond within one month, or within three months if your request is complex or you have made several requests, in which case we will tell you within the first month.
8. Complaints about how we use your information
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so that we can try to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection:
- Website: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint

- Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
9. Cookies
Our website does not set any cookies of its own, and our website analytics does not use cookies. An embedded Google Map may set third-party cookies once it loads. Please see our cookie policy for details and how to control them.
10. Keeping your information secure
We take appropriate steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Our website is only available over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information, such as full card details, by email, WhatsApp or our website forms.
11. Children
Our website and services are intended for drivers and vehicle owners, not children. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you. If we find that we hold a child's personal information that we do not need, we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy and contact details
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
