Locking wheel nutsHow locking wheel nut removal works
If the locking wheel nut key is lost or the nut is damaged, the wheel cannot come off with normal tools. We remove the locking nut at the car with specialist removal tools, taking care to protect the alloy, then fit a standard nut or a new set of locking nuts so the wheel can be removed in future.
If a tyre also needs repairing or replacing, that can be done on the same visit. Before booking, check the glovebox, the boot and the spare wheel well for the key. A locking wheel nut is a security device, so we can ask to see something showing the car is yours or in your care, such as the V5C, an insurance document or a lease agreement, along with photo ID.
The price depends on how many locking nuts need removing and whether you want standard nuts or a new locking set, plus any tyre work. It is confirmed on the call before anyone sets off, and it does not change in the evening or at the weekend.
