The A14 around the town, from junction 7 to junction 10, is run by National Highways. We never work on the carriageway of a motorway or main road, on a hard shoulder, in a smart motorway emergency area or on a slip road. Once the car is off at a junction and parked safely, we can come to it.
If the car is at the General Hospital, the station, the Newlands Shopping Centre or one of the Northfield Avenue retail parks, the operator has to allow the work, so check first. The Telford Way and Pytchley Lodge industrial estates are private ground too.
Station, retail park and industrial estate car parks are private land. The fitter can work there only if the owner or operator allows it, so check the signs or ask first. A driveway or a quiet, well lit residential street is usually the easiest place for the work.
